of Oxton 2004 - The missing Gardens

By the time I realised that we had missed out two of the gardens the time was 4:30, and with the event drawing to a close it was essential that I made my way down to missing gardens as quickly as possible. So I have to admit that I cheated and jumped into my car to make my way halfway down Fairview Road where I parked up and progessed on foot down Arno Road to Garden number 15.

I was amazed at the number of people still making their way around the gardens and roads of Oxton and this one was looking as immaculatly turned out as the other gardens that we had visited earlier that day. After taking my pictures I moved onto the final garden of the day, number 16.

During my trip round all the gardens and also in my write up it will be immediately apparent to the trained reader that I am not really botanically minded. My knowledge of flowers, plants and shrubs extending purely to the level of "it was yellow or blue" so it was nice to see that in my final garden of the day the owner had taken the time to label a number of the plants around the garden.

My final picture of the day was of a Wedding cake Tree (displayed to the left). With my task completed I returned home and set about my final task of the day to produce my webpages for the 2004 Secret Gardens event.
