Webhost waffle ..I'm afraid that it has come to that time of the year once again when I shamelessly plug one of my other sites.. www.santas-elves-workshop.com In this months did you know Oxton section you can find out why. I'll probably send out a pre Christmas edition of the diary with a bit of a festive flavour to give you something to think about over the Christmas break, and hopefully the site will begin to look more and more festive as we approach Christmas.

Mince Pies and Lights..the switch on of the village lights took place on Saturday 30th November unfortunately I was unable to attend as I was watching Tranmere loose to Luton at Prenton Park. However I walked round afterwards and there seemed to be quite a number of people around, we even saw Father Christmas sitting in the newsagents!!..I'm hoping to add a few pictures during the month ..so keep an eye out on the site.

Aldos Advent Jigsaw -Just for a bit of fun I've started an Advent jigsaw calendar which will run during December. Every day I will add something different behind the new jigsaw piece, so why not drop in and take a look what appears during the month. Many of the pages will of course have an Oxton theme. This will be running in conjunction with the Santas Elves Workshop site which I thought I'd mention again as it must be at least two paragraphs since I last mentioned it.

Did you know Oxton ?....Aldo Heswall and Birky are three hard working elves who spend all year helping make presents for Prenton (The delivery Reindeer) to take to the North Pole so that Santa can deliver them each year.. what has this to do with Oxton I hear you say ?..well their workshop is hidden in the back garden of one of the houses in Oxton Village. You can, of course, find out all about them by visiting the Elves workshop site, which as well as including a number of pictures of the workshop, also includes a number of a locally themed sections. It's aimed at youngsters of all ages..so why not drop in and meet them.

This Time Last year..the festive lights were being switched on for the first time and a new set of streetlights had suddenly appeared in Claughton Firs. (they were finally switched on many months later)

November 2000 .. I had just revamped the Community noticeboard and also mentioned something about a new site that I was developing about Elves living in Oxton Village.

Why not leave a message on the village noticeboard.
