December 2001...
Well we didn't quite get a White Christmas to write about, although it did briefly snow on the 25th and in the morning on Boxing Day. The Christmas illuminations have remained on over the festive season and added a bit of extra light to the centre of the village, unfortunately I have been unable, as yet, to get any decent pictures of them.
The festive look to the site appears to have gone down well with a few favourable comments, I will probably leave this on the site for most of January. During January I have set myself a target of getting a few more downloads added to the site, and also to do a bit more promotion of the site by registering with search engines and attempting to get a few 'net awards'.
I should also be adding an annual review of the site with a summary of events over the year and more detail on future developments I have planned for the site.
In the meantime please keep visiting the site and leaving comments and suggestions on the village forums and guestbooks. During December we received some festive poetry on the Community Forum ...does anyone out their feel that they can better this, or why not post some thoughts on village life (past and present).
