In 1999 a crack was noticed in the spire of Christ Church in Christchurch Road. Scaffolding was errected around it, and work undertaken to make it safe. The spire even made the national news, such was the interest in it. Whilst the crack was being fixed Brian and Darren from Oxton Computers took the opportunity to scale the Church and take some pictures from the top.
This section of the site contains some of the pictures that they took. I have also attempted to paste them together into panoramic views, to give an idea of how the whole area looks. (some pictures have a degree of artistic license in them !!)
