There are three Public Houses in the village and a number of other establishments within easy walk of it. You can also stop off at the Delicatessant and a tea shop in Rose Mount for light snacks and drinks.

The Oxton Arms Situated in Claughton Firs at the bottom of Rose Mount, has a beer garden, runs regular quizes and has bands, also offers bar snacks and sattellite TV. Car Park next to pub

The Shrewsbury Arms At the opposite end of Claughton Firs to the Oxton Arms, Serves handpulled Beers, has a beer garden and offers lunchtime bar snacks. Car parking next to the pub in Victoria Mount.

The Queens Hotel At the top of Rose Mount in Storeton Road, food is served during the day and early evening. Also has pool table, beer garden and offers Sattelite TV. Car parking facilities availaible opposite the pub in Storeton Road.

Light snacks and drinks

T for 2 Located half way up Rose Mount offers Sandwiches Coffess and Afternoon Tea as well as traditional cooked breakfasts and light snacks. Also offers Parkgate Icecream!

In Christchurch Road opposite the Oxton Arms, offers traditional Delicatessen food plus customer area for afternoon Tea and Coffee (Tel : 0151 670 1440)
